Prof. Alan Walter

Professor Alan Walter has an MSBA in Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University and a BA in International Business from Linfield College. Currently he is the professor of Industry Innovation at Chula Vista Christian University and professor of Business & Real Estate at Miramar College, specializing in entrepreneurship, investments, personal finance and real estate. Alan is also a lead teacher at Awaken Academy where he teaches Strategic Leadership, Success Skills and Personal Finance. Alan has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker for 20 years with experience in real estate sales, property management and investment.

Alan also taught high school for 10 years and developed the Academy of Business & Technology to be ranked in the top 1% of California academies, along the way winning 15 of 18 business competitions with regional and national championships. Alan designed, implemented and ran a state-leading mentor and internship program and regularly presented seminars at state and national conferences.  

Alan loves to travel and has visited 57 countries and lived on 3 continents. He played varsity tennis in college and regularly plays beach volleyball. He has been happily married for 12 years to Emily. Together at Awaken they lead the Pathfinders Apprenticeship Headquarters Team, Service Lead Kidz Church, are Connect Coaches and lead a Connect Group.They have two amazing boys: Andrew (9) & Peter (8).
