DUAL ENROLLMENT
CVCU for 8th to 12th Graders

Take a course once & count it twice -
for both high school and college credit!

As lifelong homeschoolers, CVCU leaders understand what it's like to want more academic support for your homeschool students in 8th to 12th grade. As subjects get more challenging, parents can be encouraged by knowing there is a team of scholars standing by to supplement and support what you're teaching at home.

Sadly, many parents drop out of the homeschool race in high school because they feel overwhelmed. We want to lighten the load for you so you can stay the course through the harvest years!

With dual-enrollment, our stellar professors (meet the team at www.CVCU.us) teach the classes at CVCU one day a week, and you count the completed class and college transcript toward your high school diploma at home. With our "summer scholar" program, your child can graduate from high school and college at the same time!

Homeschooling works. You can do this; we can help.

WHY IS A CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IMPORTANT?

Maybe you’ve heard the stat from Campus Renewal that 85% of kids from Christian homes who attend a secular school walk away from God by the end of the first year. That’s because the environment, the professors and the peers, often hold to a secular worldview, and we become like the company we keep. As a homeschooling parent and a college professor for 20 years, Dr. Lisa Dunne has personally witnessed the fallout in American academia. In city after city, she sees brilliant homeschool students getting lured in to state-funded community colleges, only to walk away from the faith by the end of the first semester. This is tragic!

State colleges are aggressively recruiting younger and younger students, which in California now includes 8th graders as part of their "middle college" program. These programs are billed as "free" because they are tax-funded, but at what price do we forfeit the souls of our children?

"For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?" -  Mark 8:36

Instead of secular college classes the undermine faith, family, and freedom, CVCU partners with homeschooling parents, helping students formulate their faith and discover their destiny from 8th to 12th grade.

WHAT IS DUAL ENROLLMENT? â€‹
Read on to learn more about what dual-enrollment is, where students can transfer their college credits, and what standards the State of California requires for high school graduates.

CVCU's dual-enrollment program provides affordable, faith-based dual-enrollment college classes for 8th to 12th grade students in order to support homeschooling parents, to inspire homeschooling students, and to offer college credit in a classroom culture of mutual encouragement, authentic dialogue, and biblical foundations.

CVCU Dual Enrollment is designed to provide a Christian college experience for 8th to 12th grade homeschoolers, offering concurrent college credit during high school. In this model, students take their general education courses once and count them twice, once for high school and once for college. Students then transfer their general education credits directly to a partner college, offering over 100 career-focused possibilities for their BA, BS, and graduate studies.
