Join us this spring for affordable, community-based homeschool support at The Academy! Built by lifelong homeschoolers, our flexible schedule is structured with YOU in mind! Choose morning or afternoon, core class support, elective classes, or private/small group tutoring. Courses are scheduled in blocks, with a combo of Bible, math, science, history, and language arts in the morning and a rotating elective class in the afternoon.

CLASS DETAILS
CORE CLASSES - (Tuesday)
Total homeschool support! Working with other homeschooling parents, The Academy students learn in the context of community and conversation, much like our college model at Chula Vista Christian university. With the on-campus support of lifelong homeschoolers like Academic Rescue Mission founder Dr. Lisa Dunne, the core block morning creates internal leadership opportunities for inspiring student learning in a parent-directed format. Core studies include Bible, math, science, history, and language arts. Students are free to choose one half day, one day, or both days of homeschool support.
IEW WRITING LAB - Rotating Elective Course
Did you know that writing is formulaic? With just a few simple structural components, your homeschooler's writing can go from treacherous to terrific. Let us help your student discover the writer within! Grades 3 to 12 welcome.
MATH LAB - Rotating Elective Course
Struggling with 2nd to 12th grade mathematics? Let our CVCU math scholars make sense of homework, concepts, and terminology. Bring in those mystery math assignments and let our team clear away the clouds of confusion! Grades 2-12 welcome.
STEM PROJECTS - Rotating Elective Course
CVCU electives are dynamic, hands-on, project-based fun for the whole family! This semester's elective is an introduction to STEM. Join us for an interactive weekly session exploring the foundations of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics!
LOVELY LEAPS DANCE - Rotating Elective Course
Join us for a special partnership with Christian dance company Lovely Leaps right here at The Academy at CVCU! Lovely Leaps believes in cultivating the love of dance, nurturing creativity, and fostering a joyful environment. Students ages 2 to 18 are invited to participate in this safe and encouraging course.
EARLY LEARNERS - Parent-directed Preschool
The Early Learners program is a supportive, parent-directed program for 2-5 year olds. Working together in a community-centric model, parents lead hands-on, interactive sessions and play-based learning activities that help young students develop curiosity and wonder. Students will build foundations in math, science, art, reading, music, physical education, and innovation in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.
CLASS PRICING
CORE CLASSES - $10 per hour (2.5 hours per week, $100 per month)
Choose one day of core classes, or pair them with a tutoring or elective bundle.
ELECTIVE CLASSES - $10 per hour (1 hour per week, $40 per month)
Elective classes offer project-based learning in a dynamic and encouraging environment
MATH, ENGLISH, and SCIENCE TUTORING - $10 per hour (1-4 hours per week available)
