Bachelor of Arts Degree in Worship Arts 
Emphasis Options: Dance, Broadcast/Film, Theater, Music

A Bachelor of Worship Arts degree trains students for leadership in church music and other creative ministries by combining theological study with musical and technical skill development. The curriculum prepares graduates to lead and administer worship departments while nurturing the spiritual growth of their communities.

General description

Coursework and practical experience prepare graduates to lead worship in various church and ministry settings. 

​

In addition to meaningful and foundational general education classes, students will study the following topics: ​

​

  • Pastoral leadership: Equip students to lead a worship team and congregation with a strong biblical and theological foundation. This includes understanding the pastor's role in guiding spiritual formation and leading the worship team.
     

  • Theological grounding: Ensure students have a deep understanding of the historical, biblical, and theological principles of Christian worship. This helps them plan meaningful and edifying worship experiences.
     

  • Musical and artistic skills: Develop a high level of musicianship, encompassing music theory, performance (vocal and instrumental), songwriting, and arranging.
     

  • Technical proficiency: Train students in relevant technologies for modern worship, including audio engineering, visual media, lighting, and production management.
     

  • Practical ministry experience: Offer hands-on learning through internships, leading chapel services, and collaborating with local churches.
