Dr. Nancy Rojas

Nancy Rojas Ed.D. has served the  Chula Vista Elementary School District for over 20 years. She currently serves as a Coordinator where she is at the forefront of multilingual instruction, assessment, and state and federal programs. Prior roles include Classroom Teacher,  Mentor Teacher, District Resource Reacher, and Project Specialist.

Dr. Rojas earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Diego State University. Being actively engaged in educational leadership, she is credited for her doctoral dissertation titled, ‘Leadership Talk Moves: An analysis of the Effective Communicative Resources Leveraged by School Leaders to Impact Teaching and Learning.’ She has shared CVESD’s strategic work at the county, state, and national level. The California Reading Association, Greater San Diego Reading Association, California Accountability Leadership Institute, California Roadmap Institute, and the National Association for Bilingual Education are some of the platforms where she has presented.

Dr. Rojas has been married for 30 years, and they have two grown children, Jonathan and Adasellia. Nancy and her husband serve in the follow-up ministry at Awaken Church Eastlake in the Response Team, Ministry Team. Deliverance Team, Connect Team and the Love and Respect pre-marriage counseling team.
